Hiroi Presents — Terms of Service

These terms are specific to Hiroi Presents and apply in addition to the parent Hiroi Terms of Service. Where they conflict, the Hiroi Presents terms below govern your use of Presents.

These Terms of Service ("Presents Terms") govern your access to and use of Hiroi Presents, an AI-powered product available at presents.hiroi.ai that generates presentation decks and lets you export narrated videos. Hiroi Presents is operated by Hiroi ("Hiroi," "we," "us," or "our").

These Presents Terms are a product-specific supplement to the general Hiroi Terms of Service (the "Parent Terms"). Please read both.

1. Acceptance & Scope

Hiroi Presents is a paid product. By clicking "I agree" (or a similar control), purchasing Credits, or otherwise accessing or using Hiroi Presents, you agree to be bound by these Presents Terms and by the Parent Terms. If you are using Hiroi Presents on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

If you do not agree, do not use Hiroi Presents.

These Presents Terms apply specifically to Hiroi Presents and its features. They do not replace the Parent Terms for matters those terms cover.

2. Relationship to the Parent Hiroi Terms

The Parent Terms are incorporated into these Presents Terms by reference and apply in full. Together, these Presents Terms and the Parent Terms form the complete agreement between you and Hiroi for your use of Hiroi Presents.

Order of precedence. The Parent Terms govern account creation, user conduct, governing law, and dispute resolution (including arbitration). On matters specific to Hiroi Presents — for example, output ownership, exports, credits, and Presents billing — these Presents Terms control to the extent of any conflict. On all other matters, the Parent Terms control. Where there is no conflict, both apply together.

3. Definitions

Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Parent Terms.

  • User Input — any content you provide to Hiroi Presents, including prompts, topics, outlines, text, uploaded files, images, data, brand assets, and instructions.
  • Generated Content — content the Service produces from your User Input, including (a) generated slides and decks and (b) exported videos (for example, narrated MP4 or WebM files rendered on your device).
  • Templates / Layouts — the pre-built designs, themes, slide structures, layout systems, styles, and design elements that Hiroi provides for you to build decks.
  • Third-Party Materials — content owned or licensed by third parties that may be made available through or embedded in the Service, such as icons, fonts, stock images, illustrations, audio, and outputs from third-party AI providers.
  • Credits — prepaid units of usage that you purchase in a one-time transaction and that are consumed when you generate decks, render exports, or use other metered features. Credits are how paid access to Hiroi Presents is sold.
  • Service — Hiroi Presents, including the website, application, generation features, and export tools.

4. Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 18 years old (or, if greater, the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use Hiroi Presents. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

Hiroi Presents is intended solely for adults. The Service is not directed to, intended for use by, or offered to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Service or provide any information to it. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it; if you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at legal@hiroi.ai.

If you use Hiroi Presents on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are at least 18 and authorized to bind that organization (see Section 1).

Account creation, security, and accuracy obligations are governed by the Parent Terms. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. License to Use the Service

Subject to these Presents Terms, the Parent Terms, and your payment of applicable fees, Hiroi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use Hiroi Presents for your internal business or personal purposes while your account is in good standing and in accordance with these Presents Terms. You may not resell, rent, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone offering, or use it to build a competing product.

6. User Input — Ownership & License to Hiroi

You keep your User Input. As between you and Hiroi, you own (or must have the rights to) all User Input you provide. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your User Input and that it does not infringe or violate the rights of others or any law.

License you grant us. You grant Hiroi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and create derivative works from your User Input solely to operate, provide, secure, and support the Service for you — including generating your decks and exports. This license exists only to run the Service for you and ends when your User Input is deleted in the ordinary course, except for backups or as required by law. We do not use your User Input to train AI models except as described in Section 15.

7. Output Ownership

Assignment to you. To the extent Hiroi holds any rights in the Generated Content created for you (your slides and your exported videos), Hiroi assigns those rights to you upon generation, subject to the carve-outs below and to your compliance with these Presents Terms and payment of applicable fees. You are responsible for your Generated Content and how you use it.

Carve-outs. This assignment does not transfer to you any rights in:

  • Templates and Layouts and other Hiroi intellectual property embedded in or used to produce the Generated Content (see Section 8); or
  • Third-Party Materials embedded in the Generated Content (such as icons, fonts, stock media, or third-party AI outputs), which remain subject to their own licenses (see Section 9).

Your rights in Generated Content are therefore rights in your specific composition and content, not in the underlying Hiroi or third-party elements.

Copyright registrability disclaimer. AI-generated material that lacks sufficient human authorship may not be protectable or registrable under copyright law in the United States and other jurisdictions. We make no representation that any Generated Content is eligible for copyright protection or registration. The degree of your own creative contribution (your prompts, edits, selections, and arrangement) may affect this. Consult your own advisor if registrability matters to you.

Non-uniqueness disclaimer. AI systems can produce similar or identical output for different users from similar inputs. Hiroi does not guarantee that your Generated Content is unique, original, or that similar content has not been or will not be generated for others. We grant you no exclusivity in Generated Content.

8. Templates, Layouts & Hiroi IP

Hiroi (and its licensors) own all rights in the Service, including the Templates, Layouts, design systems, software, models, branding, and trademarks. Nothing in these Presents Terms transfers ownership of any Hiroi intellectual property to you.

When you use a Template or Layout in a deck or export, Hiroi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that Template or Layout as incorporated into your Generated Content, for as long as you comply with these Presents Terms. You may not extract, redistribute, or repurpose Templates or Layouts apart from your own decks and exports, and you may not use them to create a competing template library or product.

9. Third-Party Content & Licensing

The Service may include or let you incorporate Third-Party Materials such as icons, fonts, stock images, illustrations, and audio. These remain owned by their respective licensors and are provided to you on a pass-through basis under the licensors' terms.

Some Third-Party Materials may carry usage restrictions (for example, limits on commercial use, redistribution, modification, or attribution requirements). You are responsible for ensuring your use of any Third-Party Materials — including commercial use — is within the scope permitted by the applicable license. Where reasonably practical, we will surface the relevant license terms, but you should not assume any particular asset is cleared for your intended use.

10. AI/ML Disclaimers & "As-Is"

Hiroi Presents uses artificial intelligence and machine learning, including models provided by third-party AI providers. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, biased, or unintentionally infringing, and it may not reflect real facts, events, or attributions.

You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all Generated Content before relying on or publishing it. Do not treat Generated Content as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all Generated Content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Acceptable Use

In addition to the conduct rules in the Parent Terms, you agree not to use Hiroi Presents to create, export, or distribute content that:

  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or harmful;
  • is deceptive or impersonates a person or organization without authorization;
  • depicts a real, identifiable person in a misleading way (including "deepfakes") without that person's consent and required disclosures; or
  • violates any AI-disclosure, synthetic-media, or election-related labeling laws that apply to you.

Where applicable law requires that AI-generated or AI-assisted content be disclosed or labeled, you are responsible for adding those disclosures to your Generated Content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate this Section.

12. Export & Output Use Rights

Hiroi Presents lets you export your decks and render narrated videos on your device (client-side), typically as MP4 or WebM, in 16:9 (landscape) and 9:16 (portrait) formats, among others we may offer.

Commercial use is tied to paid use. Your right to use exported Generated Content commercially is conditioned on having generated or exported it as a paid action using purchased Credits, with your account in good standing. Subject to the carve-outs in Sections 7–9, Generated Content you produce or export using purchased Credits may be used commercially.

Free trial. Generated Content and exports created on a free or trial basis — for example, using complimentary starter Credits, before you have purchased any Credits — may carry a Hiroi watermark and may be limited to personal, non-commercial use until you generate or export using purchased Credits. You may not remove, obscure, or alter any watermark.

13. Payment, Billing & Credits

Fees and processor. Credits are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the Credit purchases you make, plus any applicable fees, taxes, and charges. You are responsible for any applicable sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes.

One-time purchases — no subscription, no auto-renewal. Hiroi Presents is sold as Credits: prepaid units you buy in a one-time purchase and then spend on generation, exports, and other metered features. We do not currently offer subscriptions, and buying Credits does not enroll you in any recurring, automatically renewing, or continuous-service charge. Your payment method is charged only for the Credit purchases you actively choose to make.

Nature of Credits. Credits represent a limited license to access the Service's metered features. They are not money, currency, a stored-value instrument, or a gift card, carry no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Credits are non-refundable except as stated in Section 14 or where required by law. Credits are associated with your account and may expire as disclosed at the time of purchase or after a reasonable period of account inactivity, to the extent permitted by law.

Pricing. We may change Credit prices, pack sizes, and the number of Credits a feature consumes on a going-forward basis. Changes do not affect Credits you have already purchased. We will give notice of changes where required.

14. Refunds

Because Hiroi Presents is sold as one-time Credit purchases with no recurring charges, there is no subscription to cancel — you can simply stop using the Service or stop buying Credits at any time, and you will not be charged again unless you make another purchase.

No refunds for consumed value. Except where required by law, Credit purchases are non-refundable, and we do not refund Credits that have been consumed or exports that have been generated. Because Credits and exports deliver value immediately upon use, they are treated as consumed when used. Any refund of unused Credits is at our discretion except where required by law.

15. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Hiroi Presents Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Please review it.

No training on paid Input by default. We do not use the User Input or Generated Content of paid users to train AI models by default. Where we offer optional features that would use your content to improve models, they will be opt-in, and you may use the Service without enabling them. Third-party AI providers process your inputs to generate output subject to their terms; we contract for appropriate protections where practical.

Retention. We retain your User Input and Generated Content for as long as needed to provide the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted or de-identified in the ordinary course, except for backups or where retention is required by law.

16. DMCA / Notice-and-Takedown

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content made available through the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to our designated agent at legal@hiroi.ai with the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), including identification of the work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury. We will respond to valid notices and counter-notices and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.

17. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hiroi and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Input; (b) your Generated Content and how you use, publish, or distribute it; (c) your violation of these Presents Terms, the Parent Terms, or applicable law (including AI-disclosure and deepfake laws); or (d) your infringement or misuse of the rights of any third party, including in Third-Party Materials. This is in addition to any indemnity in the Parent Terms.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hiroi and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to Hiroi Presents or the Generated Content, even if advised of the possibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hiroi's total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Hiroi Presents will not exceed the amounts you paid to Hiroi for Hiroi Presents in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Where the Parent Terms specify a different or additional cap or framework, the two are read together and the protections most favorable to Hiroi apply to the extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.

19. Service Availability / Modifications

We aim to keep Hiroi Presents available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, Templates, formats, or the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, and may impose or change usage limits, Credit policies, or export formats. We will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes where practical. Because exports are rendered on your device, files you have already exported remain yours subject to these Presents Terms.

20. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Hiroi Presents if you breach these Presents Terms or the Parent Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that is unlawful or harmful, or as otherwise permitted by the Parent Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time (Section 14).

On termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Definitions, output ownership and carve-outs, disclaimers, indemnification, limitation of liability, and disputes — survive termination. We may delete your User Input and stored Generated Content after termination as described in the Privacy Policy.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Presents Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product) and update the Effective date and Version above. Changes apply going forward, and your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Presents Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Hiroi Presents.

22. Disputes / Governing Law

Disputes relating to Hiroi Presents are governed by the dispute resolution, arbitration, governing-law, and venue provisions of the Parent Terms, which are incorporated here and control these matters. Hiroi Presents does not establish a separate dispute-resolution framework; the Parent Terms apply.

23. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Presents Terms and the Parent Terms (plus the Privacy Policy and any order or plan terms) are the entire agreement for Hiroi Presents and supersede prior understandings on this subject.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Presents Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Notices. We may provide notices through the Service or by email. Contact: legal@hiroi.ai.
  • Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
