How credits work
Building and editing decks is always free. Credits are spent only when you use AI or render a video — so one number covers everything that actually costs us money to run.
1 · Get credits
Every new account starts with free credits to try AI. When you want more, buy a one-time pack — pick a size below. Pack credits never expire, so you top up only when you actually use AI.
2 · Spend on actions
Generating a deck with AI costs about 120 credits, plus 10 per AI photo; exporting a narrated video about 40. Hand-built decks and edits cost nothing.
So 1,000 credits is roughly 5 AI decks with photos and narrated video — 2,500 covers a busy month.
3 · Top up anytime

Fine print & common questions
- Do credits expire? No — pack credits never expire. Whatever you don't spend stays in your balance until you use it.
- What if credits run out mid-generation? If your balance is too low to start a generation or export, the action is declined before any AI work begins. Credits spent on work that fails partway through are refunded automatically.
- Is editing always free? Building decks, editing copy and layouts, changing themes, and exporting to PPTX or PDF never cost credits. Credits are only spent on AI generation and video export.
- Is there education pricing? Yes — teachers, students, and school staff get 30% off every credit pack. Sign in with your school email address (.edu, .ac.uk, .k12, and similar academic domains) and the discount is applied automatically at checkout — no code needed. If your school uses a district domain we can't auto-detect, email support@hiroi.ai from your school address and we'll set it up.
- What's the climate pledge? We contribute 1.5% of every purchase to carbon removal through Stripe Climate, which funds a portfolio of early-stage carbon-removal technologies. It comes out of our revenue — your price is never marked up for it.
